Here is a Lionel TrainMaster Transformer Type KW with 190 Watts uses 115 volts with 60 cycles. It is the second largest transformer produced by Lionel during the postwar era from 1950 to 1965 with the floating lamination stacks (LLC). It can operate 2 train setups with plenty of power for each with its variable power & fixed voltage for train operations & accessories. For the outer case, it has no cracks but there is some minor scratches from usage. The unit was totally disassembled for cleaning & servicing. The main things done to this unit to bring it back to a refurbished condition were replacing both CARBON ROLLERS & PINS, Adding A SEALED 10 AMP THERMAL Automatic Reset Circuit Breaker, Replaced rectifier disk with a NEW 16 AMP DIODE, a New 18 Gauge Power Cord & Replaced 1 Binding Post on Terminal C. There were other cosmetic additions to help restore it such as replacing the “A“ & “B“ caps & the orange whistle control handle. Once reassembled, the unit was both bench & track tested checking the voltage, whistle function, directional buttons, controllers “A” & “B”, & circuit breaker. All functioned tested correctly and were will within Lionel Specifications. For those who as familiar with KW transformers, this unit produces the normal humming sound. Besides the transformer, you’ll also receive a full size copy of the original
