Having serviced Lionel transformers for almost 30 years for some of the finest Chicago area hobby shops, you are assured of receiving a fully functional transformer ! Check my feedback! Selling and repairing train transformers is my specialty! Here's another CLEAN LW, case has NO cracks or breaks, factory blued baseplate has just a "hint" of rust, upper frame inside has NO rust! This transformer is the largest one train transformer that Lionel built and has the feature of showing the amount of power to the track by increased intensity of the lite in the throttle handle, total output to track is 19.9 volts, 25.5 w/whistle button depressed, this is the ONLY Lionel transformer built that has this feature. The base plate has the original Lionel "blued" finish w/o any bends! The throttle handle is original , bulb cover is also original! A diode was installed and switch-shaft contacts cleaned so whistle functions work perfectly! The power cord was replaced for safety and circuit breaker checked out for proper opening time! The 5 terminal nuts are ORIGINALS! The "repro" box is NEW, the instruction sheet is NOT ORIGINAL and is a copy of original! This transformer was built to operate Lionel trains built prior to 1966.
