LIONEL #2442 CLIFTON RED STRIPE VISTADOME PASSENGER CAR Check out my other items ! Offered for sale is an uncommon Lionel Postwar #2442 Clifton "Red Stripe" Vista Dome Passenger Car which was only produced in 1956. This very attractive passenger car is given a rarity rating of "4" in the TM Guide, which means that it was a regular production item that was produced in lower numbers than usual. It is in Excellent condition, and exceptionally clean, with some tiny scratches and nicks, but with no dents, no cracks, no rust and no warpage. This Clifton Passenger Car has a silver-painted body, a silver-painted roof, two 3/4 inch wide red-painted window stripes, and red heat-stamped lettering. There is no rust on the trucks, the wheels, the coupler shanks or the axles; there is no rust anywhere on the car! The silver is very nice for a fifty-seven year old car, and the delicate red stripes also are in unusually nice condition. This Clifton "Red Stripe" Vista Dome Passenger Car is all original and would certainly be a most welcome addition to any collection or operating layout.
