U p for auction is a Lionel Postwar 2544 "Molly Pitcher" Illuminated Pullman Car with original box. It is from my 1955 childhood collection of Lionel "O" gauge trains. The Molly Pitcher Pullman Car No. 2524 was firstavailable in 1955 as part of the Congressional Set and continued in productionfor one additional year. It came with Type VIII die-cast four-wheel passenger trucks equipped with magnetic couplers. This flat channeled extruded aluminum pullman car has SILVER painted vestibule ends with MAROON stripes that have GOLD lettering. There are no variations . This train car is in Excellent to Near Mint condition. It was run on the tracks 3 or 4 times and then put in the original box, where it's lived for the past 45 years! The passenger sillouettes are also in great condition. Check out the picture of the conductor taking tickets! (picture 8).
