This auction is for a Lionel Postwar O27 Gauge #2037 2-6-4 Steam Engine and 234W Tender. This version of this steamer was available from 1957 - 1963 and is 10" long x 2 1/4" wide x 3 1/4" high. It has a black die-cast body, ornamental bell, 3 position e-unit, magne-traction, smoke unit, and working headlight. "2037" is heat-stamped in white on the cab. This engine is complete and all original. The graphics are strong. The engine runs in forward and reverse. The headlight, smoke unit, and e-unit works. There is no rust or dents. There are a few scratches and small areas of paint loss . The 234W tender is 7 1/4" long x 2 1/4" wide x 3 1/4" high. It has a black metal frame, black plastic body with molded in steps, simulated coal load, and AAR-type trucks with non-operating coupler. "LIONEL LINES - 234W" is heat-stamped in white. This tender is complete and all original. The graphics are strong. There is no rust or cracks in the plastic. The whistle works. There are a few scratches and the right rear step has broken off. The tener box is worn.There is one inner flap attached on one end. The other end has a detached, and included, outer flap. There are some tears and folds but no extra writing.
