Offered at auction is this Scarce Lionel PREWAR #716 , Scale "O" Guage 8 wheeled Baltimore & Ohio Long Hopper that Lionel produced only in 1940-42 -...originally made to go with the Scale #700E Hudson Engine or 227 B-6 type Switchers...Appears to be in Excellent + Original condition ...Features : All Metal , Diecast , Great Scale Look , painted in authentic satin Black & with crisp White heat Stamped Baltimore & Ohio Logos & numbers . Diecast Sprung Trucks with " Whirly" Wheels and Pin operated Scale Opening Couplers ... Loaded with added Brakewheels and Undercarriage details , all Four Opening hatches on the Bottom are Intact and Work ...overall a great example of this Scale Hopper...about as Rare a Lionel item as it Gets ...
