Lionel Vintage No. 1122E Remote Controlled Non-derailing Switches, Illuminated Controller, and Original Box . For sale is a pair of Lionel No. 1122E remote controlled non-derailing switches in excellent condition with a twin No. 1122-100 illuminated controller in their original box . The controller, which has a plastic cover and green and red protruding lenses, has been rewired with 6 feet of wire and colored connectors have been installed that match colored binding post nuts on the switches to ensure correct setup (see pictures). The switches and controller were cleaned, lubricated, and adjusted and now operate smoothly, correctly, and consistently. Also included are the switch light bulbs, bi-color lanterns, and the controller light bulb. All track has been cleaned and all conducting and insulating pins are included. The box is in good condition with a gouge on one side; it has the original price marked on the top in red crayon. Sold by Lionel from 1953 to 1969 for 027-gauge track, these No. 1122E switches can be independently switched remotely by the operator using the controller and will automatically switch to the correct position to prevent a derailment if the switch detects that it is set against an oncoming engine. This pair of switches is ready to install on your layout!
