Bid to own this classic Lionel diesel engine locomotive # 204 in a true auction right here. With the tradition of Lionel excellence in model train production this tuffy still runs and operates like right out of the box! Transformer controlled forward, neutral, and reverse very responsive with side to side sprung fixed rear coupler. This vintage Lionel will pull your trains or switch cars all day in the rail yard with its OPERATING front coupler feature! The interior light and headlamp illuminate brilliantly above solid metal trucks and chassis. This beauty's shell has some rough edges and she knows it. This original shell is missing the front apron below her coupler and the silver horn from roof. The original intricate paint detail in front is well worn now as with many of these surviving models. The remainder of the shell decoration has some less major wear and true to its production era. This engine is solid and shell fastens firmly and correctly to its frame with a powerful motor for excellent operation. The collectability of this particular model is greater than its near identical #208 counterpart, the #204 was only produced in 1957 and in dramatically fewer production numbers than the #208 making her more rare while also reminiscent of receiving a model "4" surprise when originally out of their boxes!
