Oferred is a mioniature painting by the German American listed artist Paul Doering, 1864 - 1947. Doering came to the United States in 1910 from germany and settled in teh Los Angeles, California area. His bio. is available on-line. Doering painted plein air style western paintings as well as interior home hearth scenes, especially woman inside homes with German style interiors/dress. This miniature is 3 3/4 inches x 2 5/8 inches unframed. The framed dimension is 4 1/2 x 3 3/8 inches. This is an oil on board. It is signed near the lower bottom of the painting PD and on teh back of the board P. Doering. Great condition. No paint loss. The frame is bit distressed but this makes the piece more aestetically pleasing in my opinion. looks to be 19th century piece or early 1900s. Good luck bidding!
