This is a .5 liter porcelain regimental or reservist stein. It is 10" to the top of the pewter cannon finial and is attached to the handle through a 5 ring hinge. The body of the stein is an original from 1901 and the lid is a new replacement. The stein was named to reservist private Mosbach whose name is on the roster. He served with the 15th Field Artillery unit raised in Saarburg Germany. Top line is the motto "Cannon Thunder is Our Greeting". Each one of the tiny white decorative dots on the transfer were applied by hand. Lithophane of zither player. Some wear on bottom rim as shown (photo 7).Stein is in good condition with no chips, cracks, or hairlines.Please let me know if you need any other photos or information.
