Hand-crafted Wooden Carving of Lithuanian Peasant CoupleUp for auction is a beautiful piece of Lithuanian folk art -- a woodcarving of a peasant couple wearing typical Lithuanian folk costumes and wooden shoes. It was carved by a skilled artisan in the city of Kaunas, Lithuania some 30-40 years ago (perhaps earlier). Signed by the artist on the bottom of the base. Nice detail. Large size measuring 12 inches in height and 11 inches in width. Would look great on any table, mantle, shelf, etcCondition: Very good condition with a nice patina. There is a slight indentation and discoloration on the back of the woman's dress, hardly noticeable.Make sure to take a look at my other auctions, and thanks for looking!
