This heavy paper cover child's book is a scarce unstated first edition, first printing. It has a copyright date of 1945 with no publisher information - this first printing was self-published.Little Squeegy Bug is the tale of a little firefly, which was re-written by the author a few years ago with an updated and more politically correct story line (ie: removing mentions of the gun in the bumblebee's tail). The illustrations in this edition were done by Bernard Martin, the author's brother, and they are filled with old fashioned charm. The book measures 5-1/2" by 8-3/8" and is unpaginated (28 pages). There is no writing in the book and no tears to the pages or cover. The book has minor, light soiling which is less than typical of a 60-year old child's book, mostly on the covers with an occasional slight finger smudge on the inside pages. Saddle stitch binding is tight with no loose pages. The corners have some bumping/thumbing wear as shown, and the staples in the centerfold show some light rust. $4 insured shipping in USA or Canada.
