Neil Wintringham collectionMeasures4.4 x 2.9 x 2.3 cm1 3/4" x 1 1/8" x 7/8"Metallic lead-gray areas of Liveingite with some lamellar structure are micro in size and need magnification to be appreciated. There are also some elongated micro Pyrite crystals that formed along a vein (they look smashed.) The snowy white Dolomite matrix has a grainy feel to it.Liveingite is a sulfosalt and contains 26.07% Arsenic, 49.91% Lead and 24.03% Sulfur.The Lengenbach Quarry is one of the most famous metamorphosed arsenic sulphosalt/sulphide deposit in a sugary dolomite. Over 150 different minerals formed here with about 20% being Type Localities. This site is now listed as located at Fald, Binn Valley, Wallis, Switzerland; by listing the older name for the location as we have, helps to date this specimen.This small miniature sized specimen was in the systematic collection of Neil Wintringham from New Jersey.
