LIMITED EDITION LLADRO 'YEARNING FOR HAPPINESS' FIGURINE This is a Limited Edition and Retired Lladro sculpture named "Yearning For Happiness'. This beautiful and compelling piece was issued by Lladro in 2003 and retired in 2009. Designed by sculptor Antonio Ramos, it stands 13.75" (34.93cm) tall x 6" (15.24cm) wide. The expression of feeling is a constant in the work of Gustav Klimt. Based on a detail from his Beethoven Frieze, this sculpture Yearning For Happiness depicts two women symbolizing compassion and ambition which, for the Viennese painter, are the two forces guiding mankind in its search for supreme will-being. The detail, the expression caught, the pedals held in her hands, are truly amazing. This piece captures Klimt's warm palette in all its splendor while an aura of magic reinforces the work's intimate spirit. The sculpture for Happiness will be shipped in its original, special box as illustrated with the typical motifs of the painter Gustav Klimt. Lladro's Limited Edition Number (Number S2x 36) appears just below the Lladro logo as pictured. It will be shipped fully insured worldwide.
