VIEW NEAR LLANDAFF A highly detailed, good sized copper engraving, engraved by Samuel Middiman after C.Powel. Published London 1787 by John & Josiah Boydell in "Select Views in Great Britain". A lovely old print of Llandaff in South Wales, which is titled, dated and credited in the lower margin. The image presented in the scan approximates to the area just within the clearly defined platemark and there are generous margins beyond that. A scarce print. Also included is the accompanying page of interesting text, in English and French, which briefly describes the scene. Very fine condition. Approx. 7" x 5" ( 175mm x 120mm) image area only with good margins beyond. Would frame up well for display.
