The Logic Of Figures Or Comparative Results Of Homoeopathic And Other Treatments Edited by Thomas Lindsley Bradford, M.D. Published by Boericke & Tafel; Philadelphia. 1900. Presumed First Edition. Hardcover. No dustjacket. 12mo (7 3/4" X 5 1/4"). 212 pages. Written by a leading historian of homeopathy, this very rare book is a fascinating comparison in the homeopathic and allopathic treatment of the leading infectious diseases of that era, including cholera, scarlet fever, yellow fever, diphtheria, typhus fever, pneumonia, and smallpox. It provides the data for the morbidity (disease) and mortality (death) rates in American and European hospitals, insane asylums, orphanages, and prisons. Condition This book comes from an estate of medical books which were improperly stored in the Florida humidity resulting in a moldy smell, along with other damage. I've managed to clean it up quite a bit but t is still a slight odor. External: Heavy chipping and staining to spine and covers with large pieces of spine chipped away and damage to top of rear cover. Dusting/browning to page edges with some stains to top edges. Internal: First two endpages are loose with hinge cracked and webbing exposed at Title Page. Rear hinge is also cracked, otherwise internal binding remains tight with all moderately-browned pages intact and clean. Overall condition read more
