Having moved cross country to a smaller home, I am currently downsizing a 8,000 LP collection (67% classical, the rest jazz, folk, and audiophile) acquired over 35 years of active searching, listening, and upgrading. I am not a dealer...these recordings-including promo items from my days as a part time reviewer-are from my personal collection, and generally represent the best version of each title I have encountered.Because of the number of records involved, I can only grade discs and jackets visually. I grade conservatively but realistically: the highest grade I will give an unsealed disc whose surfaces are pristine and unmarked is NM. A NM- grade indicates a disc with very minor visible evidence of use (usually described) that should not seriously interfere with audition. A VG+ disc will have visible surface wear (a scratch, scuff, or sleeve-grit mark that I expect would be intrusively audible) but should play through without skipping.
