A London Shape Tea Cup and Saucer, c.1815 Search A London Shape Tea Cup and Saucer , c. 1815 Bone china. White ground. Decorated with an 'Old Japan' type Imari pattern, in dark blue and red enamel with gilt highlights . The cup stands 2 inches high and measures 3 1/4 inches in diameter, excluding the handle. The saucer measures 5 1/2 inches in diameter . THe bases of both pieces are unmarked . The cup is in very good, original, sound condition. The saucer has two faint Y shaped hairline cracks to the base, one much smaller than the other. The decoration on both is good, with only minor rubbing to one or two small areas of gilding.
