Size: 4 x 7 inches, pagination: vi, vi, 296, uncut, engraved frontispiece portrait of Christopher brown, extra etched vignette title page, 1 folding etched plate incorporating 22 small vignette subjects, bound in modern brown cloth with black leather label. CONDITION: a very good sound clean copy. FIRST EDITION, scarce early guide book to the London Taverns, including many amusing anecdotes of their history. With an amusing folding plate, a very charming little book. Published anonymously by 'One of the Old School', i.e. Colin Mackenzie.
