WELCOME TO OUR LONGABERGER AUCTION This auction includes: 1990 Corn Basket Plastic Protector Product Card WoodCrafts Lid with Green Knob (New) (not sure if this lid is for the Corn Basket, but it fits and matches in color perfectly, so it is included in this auction.) Condition: Very Good Note: T is a crack on the inside rim of basket (see photo). Also, t are some VERY minor white scuffs. One splint is slightly nicked and one has a slice missing (it is on the bottom). Description of basket: A classic Longaberger creation. It was designed as a sturdy basket for farmers to carry field corn from the silo to the feed wagons. Interesting fact: Only 5% of Longaberger weavers can replicate the Corn Basket efficiently because of its unique design! Has open handles on each side for carrying and inverted bottom. We are clearing out my mother in law's estate. Dottie, who passed away last summer at 85 years old, was the very first Longaberger Consultant in California in the mid 1980's. She was immediately enamored by these quality baskets when her sister from Ohio presented her with a cracker basket as a gift. In becoming a consultant, she found an enjoyable 2 nd career/hobby. Her large home and closets were FILLED with everything Longaberger. We, her three children, sorted it all, and divided it amongst us. Our homes are already filled with the stuff, and many of these items are duplicates we already own. So, we are auctioning off a good deal of it on eBay. Below is a photo of our sorting experience-as you can see we were practically buried by Longaberger!We will be listing everything at once. T are a lot of older baskets (80s and 90s), highly collectible baskets, pottery and the like. And, the VERY RARE 1983 CHRISTMAS BELL is up for auction. If you are a collector, you know those don't show up on ebay just every day. The great thing about the items up for bids is that they are in EXCELLENT LIKE NEW condition. Most were never used or displayed, and were stored wrapped and kept away from light. And the rest were treated with meticulous care. If t is a flaw of any sort, we will disclose it and show photographs in the auction so t are no surprises. SHIPPING AND INSURANCE If you are a multiple winner, we will do our best to combine your baskets into the same package to cut down on shipping costs. However, some baskets, due to their shape, must be shipped alone. We highly recommend insurance on these collectibles. Insurance will be offered at the end of the auction on your email invoice, and will be based on final auction value. Shipping will be USPS Priority in most cases, at exact cost, however we are charging $1 per shipment to cover the packing and shipping supplies we use (this is already factored into the shipping cost you see). The larger packages will go USPS Parcel Post or UPS because it is more economical. You can be sure your package will come to you wrapped with extreme care.
