This a retired Longaberger 2000 Founder's Basket Set. It is an exquisite basket that has been on display-only. This is for the special basket made in memory of the founder, Dave Longaberger . This set includes the basket, protector, lid & product card It measures: 15"L x 10"W x 7.5"H (This is the same size as the Medium Market Basket.) This basket has the special "Stair-Step Weaving", a braided leather trim with "Longaberger" stamped on it & 2 swinging handles. The Lid also has the special "Stair-Step Weaving" --inlaid with solid wood underneath. T is a special splint on the bottom that has the 2 daughters' engraved signatures on it--Rachel & Tami Longaberger (see photo.) The original retail cost was $249 plus shipping and tax.
