You are bidding on the rare LP:Los Lobos Del Este De Los Angeles (Just another band from East L.A.), released by New Vista Productions (NV-1001) out of Los Angeles, CA in Stereo in 1978. Original pressing! Limited to 1,000 copies!*When this official debut by Los Lobos was released, the band was still frequently playing weddings and intimate neighborhood parties for barely any money! This fantastic LP has that party intimacy, with the music recorded live and some cuts actually recorded at a party ("Cielito Lindo" & "Cielito Lindo Huasteco")! During these early years, the band would frequently embark on small-scale, do-it-yourself tours up and down California, playing intimate shows, breaking even financially and sleeping on people's floors! This incredibly rare LP is a true window into the beginning of this legendary Latin Rock group. The material on this debut LP consists entirely of Mexican folk songs, performed in a variety of styles (son jarocho, ranchera, bolero, son locos, cancion mexicana, son huasteco, cancion boliviana, bolero ranchero and guajira). The album is entirely acoustic, yet you can feel the rock & roll energy channeled through this highly traditional, festive music. This is one hell of a rarity!Record is nice luscious dark black, some scratch line marks. Not too much noise. Plays beautiful classics. G- record grading
