Lot of 3 knives. Never used, carried or sharpened. Bought in 1980. Discontinued. They come in original green plastic pouches (no box). Victorinox no. 0.8770.04. Size: 4-1/4" (108 mm) The Safari series knives were made for heavy duty use. Compared to other Swiss Army knives, each tool is longer because of the length of the knife, and the saw and blade are twice as thick. It is the seller's information that the only difference between this knife and the one issued to the West German Army is that the Army version had the German Eagle on the handle instead of the name plate. Features : olive drab checkered nylon handle with lanyard hole and name plate area, the deeply checkered handle provides a non-slip grip, large blade, all-purpose saw with bottle opener and screwdriver, punch with reamer, corkscrew. In 1980, Smico Inc. was the Canadian distributor of Victorinox knives. The pictures show the catalog cover, dated price sheet and relevant page from Smico's 1980 catalog. A copy of each will be sent with the knives. Condition: There are some faint scratches on blades and saws. Note: When I obtained these knives, they were in the original box of 12 knives which came from the factory. There were no saw guards on them, and some of the blades had very faint scratches - you have to tilt the blades under the light to see them. Aside read more
