This item was received by our Museum as part of a bequest. I am not an expert on Christmas decorations and have described the item to the best of my ability. Please review the photos carefully and email me any questions before placing your bid. This lot includes: · (9) 8-socket strands (more modern green plastic-covered wire) Very good condition. · (1) 7-socket strand (This was originally an 8-socket strand but one socket was removed and the ends were taped. Also, more modern plastic-covered wire) Very good condition. · (1) Vintage 8-socket fabric-covered white strand w/ blue pattern; black plastic sockets; metal copper-colored clips; hot glue at the base of each socket to repair damaged wire · (2) Vintage 9-socket fabric-covered green strand; green plastic sockets; damage at the base of each socket has been repaired with electrical tape on one of them; I believe these were originally 8-socket strands and the 9th socket was added. · (1) Vintage 7-socket fabric covered brown strand (This was originally an 8-socket strand but one socket was removed and the ends were covered with electrical tape. One socket is cracked in half and one-half is completely missing; included patented Noma red beads · (1) Vintage 8-socket dark green strand w/ black plastic sockets; the material covering the wire almost looks like a braided nylon. I have not seen this type before; there's hot glue at the base of each socket to repair damaged wire · (1) Vintage 8-socket tan strand w/ red pattern; black plastic sockets; Very good condition · (1) Vintage 8-socket red/gold strand; black plastic sockets with red splotches and removable metal clips; Very good condition. · (1) Vintage 8-socket tan strand w/ red pattern; black plastic sockets with removable curly-cue clips; hot glue at the base of each socket; slight fraying at the plug; piece of masking tape wrapped around wire that says "LED" · (1) Vintage 8-socket fabric strand; green plastic sockets; the plug has been replaced. Very good condition. · (1) 11-socket strand with rubber cording and large heavy brass sockets that have "BRYANT 75W 125V" engraved on each one. Although each individually bulb tested okay, this strand DOES NOT LIGHT. · (1) Vintage 9-socket strand (originally 8 sockets I think); I'm not really sure what the deal is with this one. It has five areas repaired with electrical tape. Two of them are probably because of the added socket, but I'm not sure what the other three are from. Otherwise, it's in good condition. All have been tested and are in working condition. Most of the bulbs have varying degrees of chipping paint. The bulbs may be removed from the strands for safe shipment.
