Here is a tremendous lot for the fan of 1960s and 1970s British horror, consisting of 33 German and French color stills and lobbycards for Amicus and Hammer horror films. European stills and lobbies usually showed scenes that were not as commonly used in US publicity, many with excellent resolution and printed on high-quality paper stock. Included in this lot is an original card from the Hammer classic Horror of Dracula (1958), as well as two cards from the not as reverently remembered Dracula AD 1972, and a savage fuzzy bat attack from the threadbare Scars of Dracula (1971). Amicus is well represented, with four "killer" cards from Torture Garden (1967), a 9 card set for the indelible and preferably dehydrated Creeping Flesh (1971), six French (appropriately) cards for one persuasive ball of bones, The Skull (1965), two disturbing cards that will put you straight into the Asylum (1970), and 4 cards from the hand-me-down curse gothic And Now the Screaming Starts (1971), not to be confused with the two cards from the hand-on-the-loose sci-fi in Scream and Scream Again (1971). In any case, this is no hand-me-down-lot of 33 color stills/lobbies from classic British horror films, offered in this no reserve auction with a very low opening bid. (One card from The Creeping Flesh is not pictured but included in the lot)
