Lot of 6 Plates by Josef Strnact from Austria. All of the plates are in great condition. The only main fault is on the large plate in the sky area there is some slight flaking/chipping of the glaze. It is something you have to look for. All plates are free of any chips or cracks. There is one plate measuring 13", one measuring 9.5", two measuring 8", and two measuring 6.25". (I found the following information on another website.) "This is an antique Josef Strnact Wall Plaque of a Castle ca. 1881-1910. This is in excellent condition. This plaque is marked on the back with the Josef Strnact very early mark. This mark is impressed, it is not raised or printed, it actually looks to be drawn in the piece. With the same type of mark, on the back, near the edge of the plate, it reads: Millerberg 3162. This plaque is in rose, pinks, antique white, gold and gray colors. It is high relief. Joseph Strnact founded a Terracotta, Majolica and Faience factory in 1881 in the former Austrian town of Turn-Teplitz. It was an instant success because of it's wide product range.
