Up for auction is a lot of Four (4) BRAND NEW Display/StorageBoxes with Lids COLOR: Crystal Clear SIZE: Approximately 8"H x 4" x 4" with removable top lid MATERIAL: High quality plastic acrylic CONDITION: BRAND NEW (never used or displayed) Shipping will be billed at $9.50 for USPS PARCEL POST with DELIVERY CONFIRMATION or $12.95 for USPS PRIORITY MAIL with DELIVERY CONFIRMATION. Please make your selection at time of payment . I do not try to make money on shipping and I charge NO HANDLING FEE. If I have over estimated shipping, I will refund the difference. If I underestimate shipping, I will pay the additional. (I tried FREE SHIPPING and paid $10.00+ to ship to California. With Free Shipping I end up giving them away. I can't afford that.) This question was asked on my other auction for these boxes:Q: can they be use as sort of glass blocks subsitute for hot shower use or are they bendable and not ridged and sturdy. May-25-12 A: They are ridged and sturdy, not bendable. They would smash like glass if hit with a hammer, not bend like thick cellophane, however I would not substitute them for glass block when building a house. They would definitely hold water, but not if they were tipped over and the lid somehow came off. The lid is a separate piece, an actual lid. These are exquisitely made, with absolutely no rough edges or scratches. I have not tested to see what maximum temperature they can withstand, and for that reason would not try to boil water in them inside a microwave oven. I have a case of 25 that I purchased for a project and had left over. They could be filled with glass marbles (which are heavy) and stacked, pyramid style and not become crushed. Each one comes inside its own protective plastic bag and the bags have cardboard dividers between them in the case. I will see if more information is on the outside of the case (mfr. name, etc.), take more pictures and upload when I get home, as I am cat-sitting out-of-town right now. Hope this helps for now.
