Hello, here we have FOUR! Fossl fish plates all in their natural Green River Formation matrix! These fish were swimming Fifty-million years ago in an ancient Fossil Lake that existed in what is now southwest Wyoming. The unusual chemistry of the lake created conditions that prevented decay and scavenging, while alternating layers of limestone and organic matter accumulated. The resulting laminated limestone contains the highest concentration of articulated fish fossils in the world!
