Matched set of Vintage Hand Wood Saws from Henry Disston & Sons. one is 8 point, one is 10 point. Both are in excellent vintage condition. One the blade is marked: ESTABLISHED 1840 - HENRY DISSTON & SONS INC - D-23 - PILADELPHIA USA - FOR BEAUTY, FINISH & UTILITY, THIS CANT BE EXCELLED. T he D23 was originally referred to as the D23 Straight Back. In 1927, however, it was redesigned as the D23 Lightweight. These saws were marketed to carpenters who had to use a saw all day long.
