This auction is for about 100 P-38 can openers, we will not guarantee the amount because we don't feel like counting the factory sealed bags, so we weigh them and the count should be close( +/- 3) if not correct. The tiny, lightweight, P-38 collapsible can opener was developed in 1942. The origin of the name is not clear, like the jeep. Some claim it required exactly 38 punctures around a can to open it. It is clear this little device has to be considered one of the most perfect inventions ever designed for use in combat or any situation.
