Victorian-era/early 20th century diecut scraps. Lot of 12 different fish embossed diecut scraps. Each measures 1" by 1-1/4". They are numbered 1-12, but I have two other different sets, also numbered 1-12. These were in an envelope all jumbled together, so I sorted them and came up with three different fish for each number, so I have divided them arbitrarily into lots of 12. The other two lots are also on eBay right now as well. Age bronzing to back and you can see some of the edge tabs (as these would have been all joined together at one time). Some lifting and bits of paper to backs of some, glue residue, probably from having been in a scrapbook. Some edge/corner wear. Fish #4 has some small bits of paper sticking to front. Great scraps for scrapbooking, craft projects, or to mat and frame in a group for that special fishing enthusiast on your gift list. **Victorian-era diecuts are fragile little works of art and mine show various bits of wear and tear. They are old and one must anticipate normal age-related wear such as scuffing, age bronzing, little bits missing, some lifting and t I cannot possibly describe every diecut in detail, so please look at the photos and realize that these are old and fragile paper items that are bound to show some damage, especially if one looks hard. I've been selling old books and paper for a quarter of a century and they don't make diecuts like these any more. As a buyer, of course, you can choose what suits you better--new, less-detailed, less-embossed diecuts, or old ones that have a richness of detail and color that surpasses the bits of damage and wear that may be present. I have acquired a large lot of diecut scraps that I will be listing over the next few weeks, so please watch my auctions and check my eBay store, DeVito's Books-TV Closeout Jewelry. These come from the estate of a former ephemera dealer in Maine. I will be happy to combo ship, but must charge a minimal handling fee for each item added to the package. My handling fee helps defray the expenses involved with doing business with eBay and PayPal and, while I love repeat buyers, eBay treats every transaction the same (full listing and FVF fees no matter how many one buyer purchases). EBay offers no discounts to the seller for a buyer's multiple purchases, so, while I can save buyers on the postage part of the P&H, I can't absorb 100% of the handling. Typically on small paper items such as these scraps, the fees are what pump up the P&H, not the postage. Read on if you'd like to learn more about what is involved with selling on eBay. IMPORTANT NOTE TO BUYERS ABOUT P&H: My shipping charge includes exact postage (within two ounces to allow for scale variance between mine and the post office's) and a minimal handling fee (typically no more than $2 per item, but sometimes more for large, heavy, odd-shaped, fragile or international packages). Listing and selling something like a postcard for $9.99 at auction (plus P&H of $1.99) will cost the seller $1.90 in eBay/PayPal fees; sell an eBay store item for the same amount and the cost to the seller will be a minimum of $2.22, provided that the item sells the first month it's posted. T are all sorts of fees associated with having an eBay store from a monthly subscription to a picture hosting service, not to mention listing fees and a minimum sales commission of 12%. Add to that, when an item like a postcard is put in an envelope and a piece of cardboard is added, the USPS says that is now a First-Class Parcel and a 1-ounce envelope that would typically ship for $.42 now costs $1.17. Every time I reach for my cardboard, I essentially triple the shipping. While we all like a bargain, myself included, t are a lot of expenses involved with selling on eBay and accepting PayPal payments and these new postal regulations that are based on more than just package weight.
