Tobacco Felt Flags You are bidding on a lot of 6 large 7" X 10" and 8 small 5" X 8" Felt Flags that apparently were give aways in Cigar boxes a long time ago. People used to make quilts out of them. The color on all of these are quite vivid and represent many countries. The Larger flags are from Ecuador, Spain, 2 from France, Scotland and Austria/Hungry. The smaller ones are from Morocco, Austria/Hungary, Mexico, Nicaragua, Persia, Ecuador, Panama and Greece. Some interesting facts about some though, notice the crown in the middle of the greek flag, this is not present on the Flag of Greece. It represents the war ensign. It was the civil ensign of a yellow crown placed in the middle of the cross. The Flag from Spain is actually their Navy's Flag used from 1785 - 1927. The Flag from Scotland the "Rampant Lion" or Royal Flag is the second flag of Scotland.
