" OUTA MY WAY, SUCKER!" Despite the odd spelling, the phrase on the cover of MARVEL'S OFFICIAL TRUE CRIME CASES #24 (# 1) pretty much sums up the tone of Pre-Code Crime Comics--blatant and sardonic. This title from MARVEL went on to become the popular ALL TRUE CRIME CASES but it was "official" The comic was cynical and had stories entitled "The Grinning Killer" and contents that showed reckless smug criminals wantonly killing and hurting others. (As is well represented by the exceptional SYD SHORES cover). This renowned MARVEL comic is the centerpiece of a three piece lot that includes two nice issues of the everlasting JUSTICE TRAPS THE GUILTY. OFFICIAL TRUE CRIME CASES #24 is a perfect example of the Pre-Code Crime era comic. Women are abused, guys are indiscriminately murdered, people are shot in the face and all the heinous criminal activity is glorified before being dismissed in final panel disclaimers like "Crime--A Game They Never Can Win","They Aways Lose",and "They Can't Win". CONDITION: Small tear at center staple. Pencil FC. Flat. First rate pages. FINE/VERY FINE. The other two Pre-Code Crime titles in this three item lot are two issues of the long running title from PRIZE PUBLICATIONS: JUSTICE TRAPS THE GUILTY .
