This auction is for three vintage signs from the 1940's era. These are not reproductions. They are actual vintage signs that once hung on the side of a business They belonged to a friend whose Grandparents owned a Hotel/Resturaunt/Market in Southern Indiana during the depression era. The depression took it's toll on the family business and they closed it. Now all that remains are memories and of course, these signs. These hand painted signs have been in storage in a barn for nearly 60 years. Other than having the dust wiped off with a damp cloth, they have not been cleaned, or treated in any way. Even the dirt on them is vintage...lol You get all three signs... "Eggs, Fries and Tourist Rooms". They are painted on hardwood boards that are approximately 1 inch thick. Egg Sign is 21.5 inches wide by 15 inches tall. Fries Sign is 26.75 inches wide by 10.5 inches tall. Tourist Rooms Sign is 26 inches wide by 11.5 inches tall. Each sign has 2 rusted eye hooks at the top, for hanging. They are in very good condition for their age, but do show signs of fading, stains, checking and overall wear...the way authentic vintage signs should look. T's no reserve...the high bidder will win this item. Good luck! Use the postage calculator below, to determine shipping cost to your zip code. Payment is due within 7 days of end of auction. read more
