Up for auction is a LOT of two 1/700 scale waterline plastic model kits of Cold War Nato Warships, made by Skywave: the US Battleship "USS Iowa ” and the British, Type 42, Guided Missile Destroyer "HMS Exeter .” Contents of the Kits : Neither of these Skywave (Pitroad) kits show a date in western script. I believe they were released in the late 1990's. Each kit contains one, 1/700 scale, waterline plastic model of the named ship. The Skywave kit is nearly identical to Trumpeter's Iowa kit, but is a different kit than that put out by Tamiya or Fujimi. See the question posted below, at the bottom of this listing, for details. Condition of the Kits : The Iowa Kit. The box did not come with shrink wrap, but it has been opened. The box is in OK to Good condition . The box shows two scratches on one box top edge, some slight scratches, some shelf-wear smudges on a few edges, a tape mark on each end and side panel, and a taped corner that was coming undone. The parts are complete, still sealed in their original, unopened parts' bags. It comes with instructions, and a decal sheet. The decals are a bit old and may not transfer well onto the model. The Iowa kit depicts the battleship as she appeared in 1984, with up-to-date radar arrays and cruise missiles. Please note: This Skywave kit did not come with a full hull, nor did it come
