This auction is for a Lovely 39-Piece Set of China made by Mikasa of Japan in the company's Striking Strawberry Festival pattern, also known as EB 801.The pattern was produced between 1976 and 1988. It features a groups of bright red strawberries and green leaves against a speckled tan background and orange/yellow trim.The set is in Remarkable condition and appears never to have been used or used Very Infrequently.You get:- 8 Dinner Plates, 10 3/4 inches across.- 7 Soup or Cereal Bowls, 8 3/8 inches across.- 6 Salad Plates, 8 inches across.- 8 Cups, 3 1/2 inches tall.- 8 Saucers, 6 1/4 inches across.- 1 Creamer.- 1 Round Serving Bowl, 10 inches across.There are no chips or cracks or damage or stains in any of the pieces. There are not even utensil marks. They are that nice! One plate has a separation line in the underside table foot that appears to have been made in the firing process (see last photo).I have priced these pieces at , and if you were buy them at that retailer it would cost $460. And I can guarantee you they will not send pieces as nice as these.
