This is for a lovely vintage sewing machine. It is in the most fantastic box I have seen a machine in with lots of lovely inlay and I like the fact the box is angular and not rounded like most I have seen. It is a work of art in its self. I think the main top veneer by the handle is bur walnut but am no wood expert. The vintage machine all seems to work but I have never used it. I bought it because I loved its decretive look. It was made by Frister Rossmann and has a brass lable on saying Sole Agent W Pierssene 49 Fore St London. It looks to be the sort of machine with the bobbin that passes from side to side. There are lots of adjusters and a sliding compartment with lots of odd extra fittings in. The case has its key. It is black with fantastic gold decoration. It has wear as has been well used to the gold and black base. I still think it looks great and to me all the better showing the patina. The case looks great with no damage and really just wants a polish. It is a heavy machine but I can post if you are not able to collect from our home. Post on this will be £11.00 to most of the mainland UK but the highlands of Scotland and NI will be £16.00. Hopefully of use to a collector or to be put back to use as seems so much better made than modern plastic machines.
