This coffeepot is gorgeous and has been in my family since just after WWII. My parents bought this in Stuttgartt Germany in 1948. The piece is in good shape for its age accept that the handle wobbles a bit because the ivory has shrunk over the years. The symbols on the bottom are the classic crown and half moon 800 with what looks to be a family of 3 people and a chevron mark. I have several pieces of this pattern and the character mark appears on all of them but not always the chevron. T are four beautiful scrolled feet and I have cleaned it just enough to identify the marks on the bottom. The silversmith who made this coffeepot was Sohnlein & Sohn and this is a prized European rose pattern. I have listed other items previously and they have sold mostly overseas to those who know the real value of this silver.
