For today’s auction, we are featuring an old mourning (hair) locket pendant made of gold filled metal. From the interior of this locket we can see that this piece was manufactured by the S & BL Company. This mourning locket pendant features a wonderful floral design on one side of the piece. This little pendant has an opening underneath one side of the interior which allows one to place a tiny oval picture of a loved one. A few strands of hair could also be placed in there. The mourning locket pin measures 1 – 1/8” in diameter. Please note that someone has etched the number “22” on one of the interior sides of the locket. This lovely old locket is previously used but is in nice condition. Please refer to our pictures to see just how well made and attractive this piece is.
