Lovely Vintage J B Cole Pottery Honey Pot with Dipper Traditional North Carolina Pottery This honey pot is in beautiful condition with no chips or cracks. It is larger than most of the Cole honey pots I have seen. It is 4 ¾ “tall, 3 1/8 " in diameter at the lip, about 3 " in diameter at the base and from the best I can tell is about 4 1/8 " in diameter at the widest point. It still has the dipper with it. That’s the way I found it 3 years ago. It is unmarked but has the sanded bottom with 3 obvious stilt mark pointing to the J. B. Cole shop. I think this would be considered the Red-Eye Gravy glaze even though it is mostly red-eye and a little gravy. It really is a beautifully made piece. This pottery will be shipped double boxed.
