I bought this armoire last summer from a dealer in France and had it shipped over - it is a genuine piece and not a reproduction. I wanted to use it as a linen cupboard on our landing but was really disappointed to discover that is didn't quite fit around the awkward corner of our staircase, so it's been in our kitchen ever since and I've used it as a larder cupboard. I need to reconfigure the kitchen so this will now be surplus to requirements and will have to go - such a shame as it's a beautiful piece of furniture. I'm not sure the photos do it justice but I've taken quite a few and hope they give an accurate representation - due to space limitations, I was unable to take a full length shot - apologies! It is so lovely and everyone that sees it wants it! The beautiful carved detailing on the pediment is especially attractive. The distressed paint finish was done by the dealer who has painted it in a very diluted duck egg blue on the exterior and a pale pink interior. The bottom drawer has been lined in floral wallpaper and a lovely vintage style handle has been added. She also removed the door panels and replaced them with chicken wire. It has a key - which also functions as the handle - but no lock. There are 4 shelves (5 including the bottom shelf - see description) which are all adjustable to whatever position you require as read more
