Sheaffer 500 Red Striped Sheaffer 500 Fountain Pen – Red Striped with Gold Trim – Made in USA Lever Filler – The pen has been cleaned, serviced and in working condition. It has been fitted with a new sac. This is a really lovely rather striking pen that is in decent overall condition. The only blemish I can find on the pen is a small split in the cap lip, only visible when running your finger along the lip. The pen is made from celluloid and has a red and black striped finish to it. There are some light scratches and signs of usage in places, but nothing to major. The trim is gold plated and in good condition. The imprint on the barrel is clean and reads as follows: W.A Sheaffer Pen Co Fort Madison IOWA, USA Patented in USA 500. The nib on the pen is 1two toned gold and in good condition. The feed has a clear ink view section in it. The nib has a fine tip and marked as follows: Sheaffer’s Feather Touch Made in USA 5 This is a really stunning pen that will surely make an excellent addition to any collection.
