LOW ANTIQUE SOLID PINE BLANKET STRONG BOX TRUNK ~ CHEST ~ COFFEE TABLE Description This is a Lovely Low Antique Chest or Strong Box. Dated Circa 1900. * Offered at a Low Start ~ WITH NO RESERVE * It is a Good Size Box, of Useful Low Proportions. Measuring 30.5cm tall, (12 inches), 85cm across, (33.5 inches), and 51cm deep, (20 inches). Made of Solid Pine, with a warm Patina. With a warm wax finish, which is rich and pleasing to the touch. With the Original Binding to the Base, and Good Lip to the Lid. With the Original Cast Iron Swing Handles to the Sides, which are well detailed. The Pine is Lovely and Smooth. The Chest is an Eye catching piece of Furniture, I just love it. Inside are the Original Hinges, and a Chain to hold the Lid safely Open. The Chest would make for a perfect Quirky Side Table, Coffee Table or even storage in the spare room, the possibilities are endless. Perfect to display, the Chest can be viewed all round. In Good Condition, and fully Restored, the Trunk is Strong and Sturdy, and will last you a lifetime. There are some old signs of worm, which I have treated as a precaution, and left no permanent problems, these are less than 10 and are hidden under the metal binding.
