A nice Texas Red Ear turtle shell for your collection, measures approx.10x11" over the hump. Original color not painted, it has been sprayed with clear acrylic and disinfected for protection. Shine on shell is from lighting and high gloss, not a flaw. This red ear is not a protected or endangered turtle . An eye catcher for Porch- Patio or Rock Garden. Great for you native American crafts or to paint your favorite scenes on. . I've collected these shells for years as trotline fishermen on this lake w we live , catch turtles on their lines, cut them loose and I pick the shells up later on bank.
