A superb signed and framed limited edition canvas print of a swimming Tiger entitled "River Crossing" by world renown wildlife artist ALAN M.HUNT. The picture was purchased by myself from The Halcyon Gallery,Birmingham Nov.13th1997 during one of their prestidious wildlife art events and comes with the original signed evaluation from the gallery valuing the canvas print at £595 at 1997 prices. I believe this edition was limited to just 25 pieces. Aficionados of Alan Hunt's works may notice that this edition differs from another limited edition of his "River Crossing" painting in that this particular edition was in the original horizontal format.As far as I can find out, the other small limited edition (not on canvas) issued of this painting was published in a vertical format cropping considerable amounts off each side of the original work,so this edition is rare indeed. The actual image size is 35" x 21" with an overall framed size of 45.5" x 31" The framed canvas comes from a non smoking household and has been hung in a room with subdued light (no direct sunlight ) for approx.20 months of the 15 years I've owned it, so no problems with any fading. Space constraints leading to a neccessary downsizing of my collection is the only reason "Stripes" has to move on! That's life! Packaging and delivery will be at cost. Until it is
