Up for this auction is a Vintage Unique Cigarette Tin. American Tobacco Company produced this OUTSTANDING Brand of "LUCKY STRIKE" Cigarette Tobacco Tin. It originally held Fifty (50) Cigarettes. It was packed at Factory No. 30, District of North Carolina. It got its name of "Flat" due to its size of 5 3/4" long, 4 1/2" wide but ONLY 1/2" high or thick. These flat cigarette Tins came out in the early 1900’s to around 1940’s and were prior to the familiar Pack’s that hold 20 cigarettes. This is one tin that is extremely hard to find...NOT having the letters "Flat Fifty" on the side of the red ball and in almost MINT condition on ALL sides, top, bottom and inside. The 4 Marks on the bottom at the top is Glue from the Tax Revenue Sealing Stamp. In my opinion this one is Near MINT with one tiny AGE ping on the bottom and a ping on the left side near the top...see pix. If you are a Lucky Strike Item collector, a Cigarette Item collector, a Tobacco Item collector, a Tin collector, or an Advertising or Memorabilia collector…then you should BID on this NEAT one for your collection and display...or in a Museum. High bidder pays the small shipping charge. and adding this GREAT "Flat 50" to YOUR collection.
