This features the Siberian, or Amur Tiger, the world's largest cat which lives primarily in eastern Russia's Birch forests. Lunar years of the Tiger 1914, 1926, 1938, 1950, 1962, 1974, 1986, 1998, 2010 Obverse The obverse of the coin features the Raphael Maklouf effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, along with the year of issue (2010), and the denomination of $2. Reverse This features a powerful Siberian Tiger mid-stride as it runs through the snow against the snow clad backdrop of Northern Russia. This image is surrounded by a classic border design and engraved heading. Limited Mintage The lunar year of the Tiger coin is struck from 1oz of pure silver. No more than 20,000 coins will be issued by the New Zealand Mint. The coins are legal tender of the Government of Pitcairn Island.
