This pendulette clock was made for August C. Keebler Company by Westclox in 1933. Approximately 5,000 were made. Made out of SyrocoWood its dark brown with silver numbers and hands. A CENTURY OF PROGRESS 1933 CHICAGO is printed on the original pendulum (the pendulum does however, have a crease across it). Engraved on the back is AUGUST C. KEEBLER COMPANY CHICAGO, ILLINOIS PATENTS PENDING 156. Clock is a replica of Fort Dearborn that was built in 1933 for Chicago 's Century of Progress Exposition, and later dismantled. It’s 6" long counting chains and pendulum by 3.75" wide. The Fort Dearborn is pictured on page 29 of The Wonderful World of Pendulettes - Lux, Keebler & Westclox by WAYNE & RUTH HERRMANN. Clock is also pictured on page 287 of AMERICAN CLOCKS V olume 3 by Tran Duy Ly. Clock is in Very Good Condition, Working Order and comes with a k ey.
