This item up for bids is a very clean piece. Its an original M-1 front seam combat helmet and WW2 liner which have been painted to match the combat look of the WW2 medics helmets . This set is all original equipment except the leather head band which I added later. The set is about as clean as it gets. The liner looks like a early westinghouse type. The clips, revitts and all points on the helmet look in good condition. I have found no damage to this set. Its about one of the nicest sets you can get for display. I personally like the darker red with less fade look but this one was painted when I purchased it. Everything seems to be in place and the helmet is a very impressive looking display for sure. You can get much cleaner this this one. I am not sure which outfit its painted like but has the emblem on the side for a US combat group in WW2. The set will make one very respectable looking display set no matter w you put it. Just a super nice vintage collectable set. Enjoy.
