Reproduction of the M-1C helmets worn by the Parachute Infantry of the 11th, 17th, 82nd, 101st Airborne Division in WWII. This helmet is made with the following components: Shell: WWII manufacture U.S. Army M-1helmet, front seam, refinished in W.W.II medium olive drab. The paint is heat cured acrylic laquer. The pot is then refitted with reproduction khaki paratrooper chinstraps. Sewn with a period Singer bartack machine. Liner: U.S. Army Westinghouse WWII Liner, refitted new khaki HBT cotton suspension, complete with sweatband, khaki A-yokes, leather liner chinstrap and leather chin cup. All hardware is exact, new production made by the Scovil and Anchor companies who are both original WWII maufacturers. These are identical to original M-1C helmets. Comes completely assembled and ready to wear. (You may have to adjust the sweatband to fit your head.) Steel pot and liner are USED! These helmets and liners all saw some amount of use. Meaning, t may (or may not) be a ding or two, a rough spot on the edge of the liner or some minor blemish. We do not use shells with major dents or cracks, nor liners with splits or "furry" edges.
